The flute duo MoMa, Molly Påhlsson and Marianne Sihvonen, met at Darmstadt summer course in 2021. Their common passion for new and experimental music became the starting point for their collaboration.
Marianne is a flutist from Finland that performs actively as a freelance musician around the Nordic countries and studies in a contemporary performance Master program, called CoPeCo, at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.
Molly is a flutist and a composer who has performed with chamber ensembles such as Norrbotten NEO and 40f and given solo performances at NyMus Festival and Swedish Flute Festival among others.
MoMa’s latest project focuses on electronics and improvisation. Using loop pedals and manipulated feedback they invite you to experience a spectacular and different flute concert.
Mats Gustafsson is a composer and musician, mostly working with jazz, improvised music, and contemporary chamber music.
On April 14, they will performance and improvise together and MoMa will premiere newly composed music by Mats Gustafsson.
