free jazz/noise rock improv feat Alexei Borisov
Modern Feelings is an experimental group led by the Finnish electronic musician Anton Nikkilä. It combines improvised noise-rock/free jazz with a conceptual approach to electronic music. The project's shifting lineup has in the past included such luminaries of Finnish underground music as Pekka Airaksinen (The Sperm) and Samuli Tanner (Clouds).
The Moscow musicians Olga Nosova and Alexei Borisov, who has become in the past few years probably the best known Russian experimental musician outside of his home country, joined the group in January 2015. While Nikkilä and Borisov are "ingenious dilettantes" with a long musical history stretching back to early 1980s post-punk, the groups's two young multi-instrumentalists Nosova and Henri Nikkilä are formally educated, highly skilled jazz and post-rock improvisers.

Their own form of Italian Occult Psychedelia
Father Murphy is the sound of the Catholic sense of Guilt. A downward spiral aiming at the bottom of the hollow, and then digging even deeper.
After having furiously performed all over Europe, toured North America with Deerhoof, Dirty Beaches and Xiu Xiu, been praised by the Archdruid Julian Cope, Swans head hounch Michael Gira amongst many others, the new installment of their unique sonic saga will be a concept EP on Failure, was released in January by Aagoo Records (US) and Boring Machines (ITA).
Like the previous record (“Anyway, Your Children Will Deny it” among the best 50 albums of 2012 for Rock-a-Rolla Magazine) the new piece was mixed and produced by Deerhoof's Greg Saunier. Father Murphy, with three albums and a plethora of EPs and limited releases, over the years became one of the most mysterious and enigmatic musical entities coming out of Italy, part of that community that Simon Reynolds started to call the new “Italian Occult Psychedelia”.
