STAER (NO) - Noise Rock

Hailing from Norway, STAER - Kristoffer Riis (guitar) / Markus Hagen (bass) / Thore Warland (drums) - are an instrumental, avant rock, power-noise trio. Sparked by the Scandinavian abstract, experimental and musique concréte scenes that traced their surroundings, their chemistry was further charged by European, American and Japanese noise-rock, improv and classical influences. The result is an impressively original manifestation of sonic alchemy.
Over the past 3 years a slew of heavy touring across 25 countries has seen the band achieve critical acclaim in the underground press for both their recordings and their stunning live performances. Last year STAER expanded their catalogue, and minds of their audience, with their second long-player ‘Daughters’. Easily one of the best bands currently inhabiting the live underground music scene, STAER’s enactment of these albums is something to behold; a visceral pasting not to be missed. Catch them as you must.

HORATIO POLLARD (UK/ARG) - Noise Electronics

"Half English, half Argentine, Ibiza-born "noise-eccentric" HORACIO POLLARD has been active in the field of experimental music since 2002 and has put out a number of releases on various labels, as well as a split 7" with MOHA!. A member of CLIFFORD TORUS and FULLY BLOWN DENTAL REFORM, he also runs his own label Neigh%Music.
Armed with a plethora of (mal)functioning and obsolete electronics, he delivers a nauseating yet ecstatic avalanche of disemboweling disco-hits filled with foul slap bass, vaginal harmonicas and soporifically iconoclastic grooves. THE RESIDENTS meets BRAINBOMBS meets MOHA! - like the caustic fury of a cosmic flatulence suspended in the dead space of an erotic, Kubrickian sci-fi nightmare."

"Horacio Pollard is an overlooked genius of experimental noise, and I’ve had a soft spot for everything I’ve heard by this English-Argentine fellow". "....he keeps his poisonous eruptions very listenable through use of simple repetitions, arriving at a very economical species of guitar riffage that makes this tape every bit as entertaining as a Led Zeppelin LP" The Sound Projector.

Ryan Tebo presents the beginnings of an evolving long-term Super 8 to video project from material recorded in different cities, over several years of May First demonstrations and marches.
