-----------------------------------------
Auguste Vickunaite :
is a Berlin based Lithuanian sound artist with a background in physics
science. She uses reel-to-reel tape recorders to play, record, and create sounds that contain
diverse recordings and malfunctions of the old technology itself. The pre-recorded or live
recorded sonic material inside the audio tape loops is a collage of field recordings, voice, music
instruments, sounds of objects, errors of empty tape, fragments of found tapes.
She is performing solo since 2016 and has played in various cities in Europe.

-----------------------------------------
Sholto Dobie :
was born in Edinburgh and lives in Vilnius. He works with sound, music and
performances as well as organising events and exhibitions. He uses loose structures and an
array of sound-sources including home-made organs, hurdy gurdy and field recordings. His
performances are personal and intuitive, often coming across as delicate, evocative, and
absurd. Recent audio works include Dilo (with Lucia Nimcova, Mappa 2021), It's Worse (with
Shakeeb Abu Hamdan, TakuRoku, 2021) and the solo pieces Nevery (Thanet Tape Centre
2020), House Flood WEST, Den Haag (2020).

Målgrupp :
Listening to everything and recording. Ears like umbrellas. Silence. Relay the sounds live on tape, fumble with the mechanism, accidents happen, learn to love them.
Målgrupp's modus operandi is live reel-to-reel tape recorder sound experimenting. Their collages consist of field recordings and pre-recorded sounds that are relayed and manipulated into rhythms and soundscapes heard from the inside of the wallpaper, dancing down the hallway or balancing on the tension of a bridge. Objects and instruments can be heard in a distant echo of punk music, stripping off everything but the silence, soberly listening to every vibration expressing itself in an unlimited space. All through Målgrupp's music, one can hear the handicraft behind it, their masterful tape manipulating process could be described as electronic sound sculpturing.
The project started out in 2008 as a collective with rotating members playing free form industrial punk, inspired by Cabaret Voltaire and Throbbing Gristle. Since 2016, Julian Murray has been playing solo and their sound has gradually started to include influences of for example art brut and ethnographic recordings, operating in the same musical area as sound explorers like Red Brut, Marja Ahti, Dolphins Into The Future and Beyt Al Tapes.
