Xuri's senaste utgåva, "Bedlam of Salt", på
Janushoved, visar hennes senaste ambienta arbeten. Hon framför musik live i Tokyo, Berlin,

Ragnhild May, baserad i Köpenhamn, utmanar musikaliska kategorier och undersöker

presenterade runt om i världen, inklusive Performa Biennalen, the Istanbul Biennalen,

SONIC NAVIGATORS # 1 - adventurous music

Sonic Navigators is the first in a row of presentations of music the challenges genres and
artistic disciplines. # 1 presents music from the scene in Copenhagen which challenges
musical genres and is playful.
Xuri, the Copenhagen-based artist Susanne Benther Mouritsen explores the shadow sides of
imaginary spaces and playful industrial sounds, and her music is a flight through
soundscapes paced by throbbing beats, accompanied by ghostly entities. Xuri's latest
release, "Bedlam Of Salt," on the label Janushoved, her ambient work is transformed into a
crystallized sound world. She performs live in Tokyo, Berlin, Antwerpen, Paris, and
sometimes under the moniker Parietal Eye on Amniote Editions label.

Xenia Xamanek, based in Copenhagen, advances the practice of musicality towards the
notion of genre flux. Xenia produces surprising mixture of sounds through engaging with
cultural frameworks and dismantling the political mechanisms of homogenized rationality.
Xenia's transdisciplinary practice builds on computed orchestration, skillful hardware
experimentation, and a conceptional curiosity that has led to creating a diverse body of
works. Xenia's latest release is "Moodswings," a collaboration with Karis Zidore, which
manifests the use of volatile aesthetics and shifting emotions.

Ragnhild May, based in Copenhagen, explores sound through sculptures and creates unique
instruments that produce new kinds of sounds and performances. Ragnhild challenges
musical categories and explores acoustic phenomena and their effect on human perception in
the area between the artificial and natural, man and machine, the material and the immaterial,
where playful elements get twisted until they become monstrous.

Stephen McEvoy, is a Copenhagen-based Irish composer. His compositions are based on
intuition and improvisation, where he explores the essence of sound and the psychoacoustic

effects on the listener. Stephen established the label Fluf in 2016, where both playfulness and
the serious define the works. His work has been presented around Europe, including Cafe
OTO in London, and he has been a composer-in-resident at EMS. In addition, Stephen leads
the Sound Laboratory at the Royal Academy of Arts in Copenhagen.
